WMBA 2024-25 Fall/Winter Community League (Age 7-17) (REGISTRATION OPENS August 19th, 2024)

The WMBA Community Centre League is a city-wide league where teams compete against other teams from different areas in the city. Players register online for their catchment community centre and teams are formed based on those Community Centre catchment areas. The WMBA adheres to a fair play and zero tolerance model to ensure young athletes are competing in a Fun and Safe environment. Age 7-8 (Co-ed): Winnipeg Minor Basketball 

WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Saturdays), plus practice
3v3 Cross Court Games

Age 9-12, plus 13 Boys: Winnipeg Minor Basketball
WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Saturdays), plus practice
9-10 Boys and 9-10 Girls – 4v4 Cross Court Games
11, 12 Boys, 11/12 Girls & 13 Boys – 5v5 Full Court Games

Age 14-17, plus 13 Girls: Winnipeg Minor Basketball
WMBA city-wide program with 1 game/week (Sundays), plus practice
5v5 Full Court Games

Fees:

Total League fees are made up of the WMBA Membership Fee ($285) + the individual Community Club fees. Community Club fees will vary from district to district.

2024-25 Fall/Winter Season Important Dates:

Registration Opens: August 19th, 2024

Registration Closes: September 15th, 2024

Team building and league administration: September 16th – October 4th, 2024

Practices begin: Practices should start in early to mid-October when permits become available.

First league games: October 19th-20th, 2024

Holiday Break: December 16th, 2024 – January 10th, 2025 **NO Games**

Games resume: January 11th-12th, 2025

Last Regular Season Games: February 15th-16th, 2025

Playoffs (Ages 11+): Feb 22nd-23rd, 2025

Championship: March 1st-2nd, 2025
